In addition to the end of Georgia Restaurant Week and the beginning of Atlanta Restaurant Week , this weekend brings some big beer events and the return of the Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival.
Three Taverns Anniversary
On Saturday from 1-5 p.m., Three Taverns celebrates its two year anniversary. Enjoy live music, a food truck and 16-plus beers on tap, including the soon to be released Anniversarium II, a limited 8.5% Rye Tripel draft only anniversary release, along with a soon to be announced spontaneously fermented and barrel-aged sour. Craft Beer Competition Party
Also on Saturday from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m., the Great Southern Craft Beer Competition is on at Red Brick Brewing . The party will feature brewery tours and pours, Public Draft House food pairings, a people's choice blind taste test of the beers from the competition finalists and live entertainment. Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival
On Sunday, the seventh annual Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival at JCT Kitchen & Bar returns to the Westside Provisions District from 1-5 p.m. Enjoy tomato-based treats from dozens of chefs and mixologists and music from Ill Communication and Five Bone Rack, an all-chef band. Last year, the fundraiser for the Giving Kitchen and Georgia Organics raised close to $120,000. Tickets: $65-$145 on sale here .
