Diner , the new '50s-style breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant from "angry chef" Ron Eyester, is set to open for lunch today with a limited menu. Yesterday, Eyester tweeted the news and posted this personal Facebook update about his long awaited Atlantic Station venture:

In less than 12 hours Diner will come to life in Atlantic Station. What a treacherous journey thus far, yet an empowering learning experience. I learned just as much about myself as I did the restaurant business building this one. We're looking to opening our doors tomorrow at 11AM. We will be serving lunch only tomorrow until 4pm and then we'll be progressively expanding our hours and menu selection as the weekend progresses. No booze yet, so feel free to bring your own. And go easy on us!

Diner was originally scheduled to open in July 2014, then pushed back several more times during a period when Eyester was secretly taping “Top Chef: Boston.” Eyester’s other three restaurants, Rosebud, Family Dog, and the recently revamped pizzeria/deli, Timone’s, are located in Morningside.

264 19th St. N.W., Atlanta. 404-347-9747.
