Rize to bring new pizza concept to Poncey-Highland

Get ready to "rize" up for a new spot for pizza in Atlanta.

Rize Artisan Pizza + Salads is set to open in the new mixed-use development at 675 N. Highland in Atlanta in October.

Eddie Russell, a founder of The Four Coursemen supper club in Athens and most recently the culinary director of Argosy Bar & Restaurant in Atlanta, oversees the menu, which includes a variety of pizzas, salads, flatbreads, pasta dishes, small plates, sandwiches, gelato and sorbet.

The beverage menu includes wine by the glass, craft beer and craft sangria, as well an non-alcoholic options such as Caleb’s Kola and Stubborn craft sodas, teas and lemonades.

John Smith, Rize's founder and CEO and the former regional president of Caesars Entertainment, said in a press release that he's confident there Rize will go national, and sees a lot of potential in Atlanta as the restaurant's first location.

“I love the entrepreneurial culture and Southern hospitality that Atlanta offers,” he said.

Rize will serve lunch and dinner daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
