Pig and Pearl opening KR expanding and more dining news

The Pig and the Pearl, the new Atlantic Station smokehouse and seafood concept from chef Todd Richards of the Shed, is soft opening this week and taking reservations for August 4. On the lunch and dinner menu, look for beef brisket, pork shoulder, lamb, duck and sausage, plus raw and smoked seafood and shellfish. Amélie’s in West Midtown
Amélie’s, a Charlotte-based French bakery and café concept with locations in North and South Carolina, is now open in West Midtown. Makan open in Decatur
Makan, with “cuisine inspired by Asian street food and traditional Asian comfort food,” recently opened for lunch and dinner in the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Downtown Decatur. KR Steakbar expanding
Chef Kevin Rathbun’s newest restaurant, KR Steakbar, has started construction on a new dining room, expected to be completed in October in anticipation of the busy holiday season. The expansion will add 45 seats for private dining during the week and a la carte dining on the weekends.
