These are the stories that created a buzz on the metro Atlanta dining scene this week:
•Popular Ponce City Market all-day breakfast spot Pancake Social is expanding its Friday and Saturday hours starting tonight.
The restaurant will be open for dinner until 9 p.m., with breakfast options as well as more lunch and dinner-focused dishes such as the quinoa bowl with avocado, roasted carrot and kale peanut vinaigrette; the Crispy Chicken Sammie with hot honey and sweet pickles on an English muffin; The P.S. Salad with Little Gem lettuces, carrot, avocado, egg and fried chicken; and the P.S. Burger. The restaurant also features cocktails such as the Brown Derby and Spice Gal, draft beer and wine. •Sweet and Fresh is slated to open in The Standard at Atlanta at 708 Spring St., What Now Atlanta reports. The student-focused restaurant will offer drinks including smoothies, lemonade and bubble tea, and food options such as chicken wings and Philly cheesesteaks. The restaurant could be open as early as this August.
•Duluth vegan restaurant VeGreen Vegan Fusion Restaurant is opening a second location at Town Center at Cobb, ScoopOTP reports. The restaurant, set to open next month, will have a menu focusing on vegan burgers.
•Philly 'G' Steak will replace Bell Street Burritos in the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, What Now Atlanta reports. The food stall, slated to open in the next few weeks, will serve Philly cheesesteaks and Mexican dishes.
