Last week at the Alltech Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co's. Alltech Craft Brews & Food Fest at the Lexington Convention Center in Kentucky, Atlanta's Monday Night Brewing took on some 65 breweries from across the country to win the Commonwealth Cup.

The ‘Best in Show’ prize was awarded to the somewhat appropriately named Tears of My Enemies, a scotch barrel-aged milk stout that’s one of the newer offering from Monday Night’s limited edition Black Tie series.

Flavored with locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee , it's described as "roasty, chocolately, and, like the tears of your enemies, the most delicious thing you've ever tasted."

“We’re pretty excited,” said Jonathan Baker, Monday Night’s Marketing Guy and Master of Mind Control. “All of our beers did very well. It’s not the largest beer competition, but “Best in Show” is a big deal, and the fact that our barrel-aged offerings continue to win major accolades means that the timing of our barrel-aging/souring brewery (The Garage) couldn’t be better.”
