Here's a look at the 18,000-square-foot food hall a group of developers want to bring to Marietta.

The long-awaited Marietta Square Market food hall has announced it will open its doors to the public on Thursday, March 28.

Marietta's answer to Atlanta's Krog Street and Ponce City markets will encompass 18,500 square feet at 68 North Marietta Parkway, one block from Glover Park in the Historic Marietta Square District.

Marietta Square Market will boast a dynamic lineup of tasty treats, a central bar and indoor and outdoor seating. The food hall will be home to 20 unique merchants, the majority of which are set to open March 28.

The food hall concept has been about two years in the making. The original completion date was March 31, 2018, but that date was pushed back to January of this year.
