Ford Fry's steakhouse Marcel will resume regular hours today after two men were injured last night due to a railing collapse in front of the restaurant .

The men were critically hurt after falling from the second floor of the building at 1170 Howell Mill Rd. in Atlanta, police said.

“The victims were leaning on the metal railing when the entire section of that railing broke free causing both to fall one story,”  according to Atlanta police spokeswoman Elizabeth Espy.

The restaurant, which has occupied the space since mid-2015 , released a statement this morning regarding the incident:

"The two gentlemen were guests of Marcel last night. This unfortunate incident occurred once the two gentleman had exited our restaurant at approximately 11 p.m. onto the upper-level catwalk of the Westside Urban Market, where the railing gave way.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the individuals and their families. After meeting with the landlord and building inspector this morning, we will remain open with normal business hours. The landlord will be immediately addressing the railing for the complex under the guidance of the building inspector."

The men were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
