Iconic Southern bread-maker Patricia Barnes, aka "Sister Schubert," is back in Atlanta .

Barnes, known for her rolls that are found in frozen food cases in grocery stores across the country, will be on-hand at All Inspired Boutique in Johns Creek, Ga. on Thursday, Jan. 21 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. During this free “Evening with Sister Schubert,” Barnes will discuss how she went from selling bread at a church bazaar some 25 years ago to building the Sister Schubert’s brand that produces nine million rolls a day.

“All I had was a handwritten roll recipe from my Grandmother Gommey, some mixing bowls, and some zip-top bags,” said the native of Troy, Ala. of her company’s humble beginnings.

At the event, Barnes will also be signing her cookbook, “Celebrations from the Heart,” and sharing samples of her rolls.

A portion of the proceeds from purchases that night will go to Atlanta-based nonprofit CURE Childhood Cancer .
