Has Atlanta reached peak poké? If you love the trendy dish, you're in luck -- there's plenty more to come.
Poké Bar -- which opened one of the first of a wave of poké spots in metro Atlanta with its Sandy Springs location last year -- signed its 12th area lease, for a store at 870 Inman Village Parkway in Inman Park, according to What Now Atlanta.
The spot, set to open later this year, will join current locations in Edgewood, Johns Creek and the aforementioned Sandy Springs.
The chain is also set to open locations in Alpharetta, Buckhead, Duluth, Midtown, Peachtree Corners, Perimeter, Suwanee and Vinings this year.
Want even more? Tomorrow's News Today reports that Fish Bowl Poké will open two locations this year, one in November in the the Toco Hills Promenade next to Publix and another at the 12th and Midtown development and in the former Max's Wine Dive space by the end of the year.
There are existing Fish Bowl locations on Broad Street in downtown Atlanta and a new location in the Sweet Auburn Curb Market.
Fish Bowl is owned by the team behind DUA Vietnamese Noodle Bowl, which will also open a location at the 12th and Midtown complex, in addition to its existing spots on Broad Street and in Jonesboro and Fayetteville.
The new Fish Bowl and Poké Bar eateries will join several other recently opened or announced metro Atlanta poké concepts, including Poké Perfect , Sweet Tuna and Izakaya , a Japanese tapas spot that will also serve poké.
Poké, for the uninitiated, is a raw fish salad with Hawaiian roots.
