Aug 19, 2016

East meets West in Alpharetta.

Affairs, a restaurant and tapas lounge whose menu blends Latin American and Indian influences, is open at 4120 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta, in the former Urban Spice location.

The restaurant was developed by Walia Hospitality Group, which also owns Masti at 2945 N Druid Hills Road and Cafe Bombay at 2615 Briarcliff Road NE, both in Atlanta, and Bombay Brasserie, which opened at 900 Mansell Road in Mansell Oaks Plaza in Roswell in May .

Affairs' kitchen is outfitted with a traditional tandoor oven as well as a sigri, a small, open-flame stove also used in Indian cooking. The menu features Indian staples including biryanis (mixed rice dishes), dal stews, breads, barbecue platters, salads, appetizers and a variety of dishes with Latin American, European, African and Asian influences.

Affairs is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
