Enjoy this 4th of July weekend by not cooking. Several restaurants are offering special holiday menus plus favorite food options such as baby back ribs, fried chicken and classic sides like collard greens and mac and cheese. Others have a selection of to-go items, so you can pick it up then dine at home or have a patriotic picnic. Check the list below to see which red, white and blue celebratory menu suits you. (If you're in the market to dine and watch fireworks, click here. For Peachtree Road Race picks, click here.)
Fox Bros. BBQ: Instead of spending the entire day cooking, pre-order slow-roast ribs, pulled pork, sides and a slew of other southern dishes to-go. Pre-orders will be accepted until 5 p.m. Friday, July 3 by calling the catering line at 404-414-0826. The restaurant will open at 10 a.m. Friday, July 4 for patrons to pick up their order.
Watershed on Peachtree: Make reservations now. Executive Chef Zeb Stevenson will be serving the restaurant's famous fried chicken and biscuits in addition to the normal lunch and dinner menu on Independence Day.
D.B.A. Barbecue: Their holiday slogan? "We smoke it, you eat it." And, you can have it to go. A rack of their St. Louis cut will run you $20; baby backs will be $22. Additional catering options include brisket, pulled pork, grilled Texas creamed corn and collards greens.
