Decatur favorite Las Brasas reopened Sept. 26 in a new location at 614 Church St., delighting longtime fans of its Pollo a la Brasa — Peruvian ale-marinated, herbed and spiced whole chicken cooked on a hardwood charcoal-fired rotisserie — and several new menu items, inculding Cebiche Corvina, a lime-marinated Peruvian ceviche.
On Saturday at 4 p.m., the grand opening celebration will mark the debut of an even bigger menu with the addition of Anticuchos — Peruvian-style barbecue dishes skewered and seared over high heat on a specially designed hardwood charcoal grill.
"We are excited to introduce Atlanta to Peruvian Hardwood BBQ, with a traditional cocktail list to boot," new co-owner Jonathan Hartnett said. "We are having the formal grand opening Saturday, but will continue to introduce new menu items going forward. The marinades, condiments and hardwood charcoal cooking methods allow endless possibilities. The hardwood rotisserie chicken and cebiche will be continue to be the core product."
