The 2015 AJC Decatur Book Festival (AJC DBF) is a delicious, fun-filled experience for food, book and general lifestyle lovers alike.

From 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, Cat Cora , the first female "Iron Chef," former co-host of the Food Network's "Melting Pot" and chef/restaurateur will sign copies of her new memoir "Cooking as Fast as I Can: A Chef's Story of Family, Food, and Forgiveness" at Strippaggio (855 Emory Point Dr., Atlanta). In this book, she reveals her path to becoming a chef and how she found her passion in the kitchen, went on to attend the prestigious Culinary Institute of America and held apprenticeships under Michelin star chefs in France. Cat also dishes about intimate coming-of-age experiences such as abuse and living as a lesbian in the deep South.

In addition to the aforementioned event, Cat will also appear on the Food and Cooking Stage from 1:45-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5. After, in the neighboring AJC tent, she will sign more copies of her book.
