When Ink & Elm opened in Emory Village in September 2013, it announced itself as "a restaurant, tavern, and lounge for residents of the community and anyone else in need of an elevated or casual dining experience."

But now the owners have announced on Facebook that the experience is coming to an end on Saturday:

After 21 amazing months, Ink & Elm is saying farewell. We have enjoyed serving the neighborhood, the Emory community, and the city of Atlanta. We were warmly embraced by many, many who have become great friends. From our house to yours, we thank you for your support and friendship.

We plan to continue to serve the Druid Hills/Emory neighborhood through Saturday depending on our inventory. Please come in, relive great memories, and say good-bye in person. We will even have our bourbon/whisk(e)y wall discounted by up to 50% for your enjoyment.

Once again, thank you.

And for fans of the Ink & Elm coffee program, there was this Facebook update a few hours ago:

Ink & Elm’s coffee program will resume this Friday. During the hours of 10 AM – 3 PM we will only serve Intelligentsia products. After that – it’s free game for food (and booze). But if you want booze during those hours – we won’t tell. Thanks for all the support!
