In case you missed it, here’s what happened in the Atlanta food and dining scene this week.

Food and restaurant news

Spencer Gomez, former sous chef at Kevin Gillespie's Gunshow, has been named chef de cuisine at Linton and Gina Hopkins' Holeman & Finch. He also previously served as chef de cuisine at local favorite The Branded Butcher.

Castleberry Hill restaurant Smoke Ring is unveiling its new jerky bar on Monday. The bar will feature seven jerky varieties including pork and beef for $8, rabbit, duck, alligator and bison for $10 and venison for $11. All of the jerky is smoked and packaged in house by chef Jordan Wakefield and bartender Chase Alger.
