We are graced with Halloween occurring on a Friday this week. That means we can don our costumes that much longer, and sip on one extra “Vampire Blood” cocktail, knowing that the weekend is upon us. So if you’re looking for some adult festivities, we’ve found cooking classes, concerts and costume parties from now until the big night.

Kirkwood Station | Wednesday | 5:30-10 PM
Meander through charming Kirkwood for the Progressive Halloween dinner party and sample some of Kirkwood’s tastiest businesses. Pumpkin lattes or hard cider from Taproom Coffee, wine tastings by Savor Wine Boutique and desserts from Dolphin’s Water Ice Factory will all be part of this bewitching bash.

Vermouth makes an appearance in the hands of One Flew South’s mixologist Tiffanie Barriere at Preserving Place’s “Abracadabra Brews” class. You’ll learn the history of this fortified wine, how to store and pour, and of course, concoct the perfect vermouth cocktail.
Pumpkin Carving at Atkin's Park Tavern | Wednesday | 9 PM
Break out your carving knives and creativity to compete for the best jack-o-lantern. The winner receives house cash and Terrapin beer. Specials will be poured throughout the night and the dark comedy “Army of Darkness” shows on the big screen television.
East Atlanta Village Halloween Chili Night | Thursday | 4-7PM
Bring the kids for trick or treating and support the local farmers market by spooning up some chili. Contributions get you a bowl of homemade chili (either meat and vegetarian versions) served with local bread and a cold beverage.
Meehan's Sandy Springs | Thursday | 7:30 PM
Not sure what a post-apocalyptic dinner would entail? Meehan’s thinks it involves Terrapin beer and paired courses like roasted bone marrow and coffee rubbed venison. “The Walking Dead dinner” plays on the popular zombie television show.
The Optimist | Friday | 6:30 PM
Hang out on the putting green for an outdoor concert and sip on beer and punch from Ballast Point. A trio of pun-intended musicians like DJ Agent 45, Gringo Star and Indianapolis Jones grace the open airwaves with indie and funk jams.

The Buckhead Savi Provisions shares a tasting of four “spooky” wines and four beers, including the “Immortal Zin” Zinfandel, Phantom Red Blend, Bridgeport “Witch Hunt” Spiced Harvest Ale and Pumpkinhead Lager. Dress in costume for a chance to win prizes.

If you're looking to avoid the hoards of costumes, Double Zero is featuring a Halloween-themed wine dinner. This four-course paired meal features themed dishes like "Bobbin' for Apples" salad and "Smokey Bones" glazed pork ribs paired with Castello di Magione wines.
Cook's Warehouse Brookhaven | Friday | 7- 9 PM
Gather your girlfriends for the popular “Wicked Girls Night Out” cooking class. Chef Megan McCarthy is mixing up cocktails and leading you through a themed fall meal that includes sweet potato soup, orange and pomegranate greens salad and roasted chicken.
Cypress Street Pint & Plate 80s Zombie Prom | Friday | 8 PM
The dead gather at Cypress Street for the inaugural zombie prom, where the bar turns to a retro 80s prom night. Bring you costumes, but no need to do your make up, artists will be on hand to "make-under" guests. The best two costumes are deemed Zombie Prom King and Queen. VIP guests sip on unlimited Lonerider Brews, and a portion of those ticket sales benefits The Giving Kitchen.
