The first Georgia location of the popular Memphis chain Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken, which opened in August 2015 , and is doing well enough that more several metro Atlanta locations are being planned, according to Roby Brown, the COO for Gus's Georgia franchises.

A Perimeter-area location is in the works for 2016, along with at least two more metro locations in the future. Other potential Georgia locations include Augusta, Macon and Savannah.

"The Atlanta store has been a great location for us," Brown said. "It will probably always be our flagship Georgia store."
