Now through Sept. 23: The ninth annual Cobb Restaurant Week features select three-course dinner menus for $15, $25 and $35. Participating restaurants include Chicken and the Egg, Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar, Piastra and Seed Kitchen & Bar. The latter, for example, is offering a three-choice appetizer, entrée and dessert menu with options like crispy oyster sliders, wine-braised beef short ribs and tres leches cake. Thursday, Sept. 21: Chef Linda Harrell will team up with James Beard Award-winning chef Virginia Willis to host a four-course grits dinner from 7-10 p.m. at Food 101 . Guests will watch a short film appropriately titled, "It's Grits" while indulging in hors d'oeuvres such as shrimp and grits pâté on brioche toast and stone ground cheese and sausage grits beignets along with special cocktails. Dinner will consist of crabs and grits cake with arugula, grits souffe with balsamic blackberries and more. A seat at the table is $60; tickets can be purchased here.

Thursday, Sept. 21: Celebrate the grand opening of Festivals Jerk Chicken Grill with a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. Members of the Atlanta City Council will be present and guest will enjoy all-day specials such as a quarter chicken breast and wing; quarter chicken leg and thigh; or 8-oz. pork meal with one side for $5.

Saturday, Sept. 23: Learn to prepare heartier dinners for the autumn season during the Italian Comforts cooking class from 1-3 p.m. at Cibo e Beve . Participants will cook ravioli, garlic bread, arugula salad and the restaurant's eponymous meatballs. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased here.
