A new Marietta restaurant and bar is celebrating its grand opening this weekend with food and drink specials.

Hoyle's Kitchen and Bar, which opened earlier this month at 1440 Roswell Road, will show several college football championship games and will offer $2 Bud Light and Miller Lite bottles and drafts, $3 Sweetwater 420 Drafts and $1 wings, as well as prizes Saturday and Sunday.

Named for co-owner Joe and Sam Ivey's grandfather, Hoyle Ivey, who owned a farm-to-retail chain of stores nicknamed Milk Jugs, Hoyle's offers lunch specials, dinner and late-night menus, as well as an extensive selection of beer and cocktails.

Food offerings include a variety of appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, soups and salads, wings, tacos and "big plates" including bayou mac and cheese, soy glazed salmon and steak frites. Cocktails options include fresh fruit infused vodka martinis, Bourbon and Coke Slushies and a Bacon Old Fashioned. Several local breweries are represented on the beer side including Red Hare, Burnt Hickory and Orpheus.

Hoyle's replaces music venue 120 Tavern and Music Hall, which closed earlier this year.
