Get all-you-can-eat wings from local and out-of-state chefs during Wing Showdown. Head to Piedmont Park for Brunchfest with food, drinks and lots of eye candy. There are several fun food events happening in metro Atlanta this week, so add one or all four to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ol’ time.
Thursday, Aug. 2: Chef and owner Todd Ginsberg will offer a taste of his whole hog tacos topped with with red chile spritz, peach and serrano pepper salsa, a menu item from his forthcoming barbecue joint, Wood's Chapel BBQ. Tacos will be $2 each beginning at 9 p.m. at Superica's Krog Street Market location. Along with this special menu item, guests can rock out to live music from Moontower's blended sounds of classic, jam, funk, disco, blues and rock and roll throughout the evening.

Friday, Aug. 3: During a Meet the Connoisseur Italian cheese tasting, guests will nosh on a variety of cheese and more from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Alon's Bakery and Market. Tickets are $15. This event will take place at the Virginia Highland location only.

Sunday, Aug. 5: Outdoor and brunch lovers will be able to pop a bottle of rosé during the All-Day Rosé Brunchfest, hosted by JEZEBEL Magazine's 20 Most Eligible Atlantans beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park. Menu items will include breakfast bowls with scrambled eggs and cheese, bacon, tomatoes and avocado; bagels served with cream cheese, cured salmon and capers; a Krispy Kreme station with all the fixings including whipped cream, strawberries and chocolate; a biscuit station with county ham and sausage; plus libations including rosé, mimosas, Bloody Marys and beer. Tickets, which are $15 for general admission and inclusive of event entry and two food or drink tickets or $45 for the aforementioned plus six selections of rosé, can be purchased here. Additional food station tickets can be purchased for $8 each.

Sunday, Aug. 5: The third annual Southern Wing Showdown will feature all-you-can-eat Springer Mountain Farms wing tastes from 30 Southeastern chefs from Georgia including Deborah VanTrece of Twisted Soul, Matthew Basford of Canoe and Julio Delgado of New Realm Brewing as well as others from Alabama, the Carolinas and more; eat and greet with chefs; tastes of southern spirits and beers plus water and soft drinks; live entertainment; a photo booth; and games beginning at 1 p.m. Tickets, which are $55 for general admission, $65 for VIP and free for children 10 and under, can be purchased here.
