Cookbook author Julia Turshen will wrap up her multicity tour behind her book “Now & Again: Go-To Recipes, Inspired Menus + Endless Ideas for Reinventing Leftovers” with an event celebrating LGBTQ women in food featuring a conversation with Turshen, cookbook author Virginia Willis, agent Lisa Ekus, chefs Deborah VanTrece and Lorraine Lane of Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours and Kim Severson of The New York Times. Tickets also include a reception with a cocktail from bartender Tiffanie Barriere and small bites from Lis Hernandez of Arepa Mia.

Two restaurants will combine forces as Hattie B’s Hot Chicken executive chef John Lasater heads to Superica to cook up two different hot chicken tacos for $2 and Superica chef Ford Fry takes the stage to play ’80s throwback hits.

Taco Mac in Kennesaw is handing over its taps to North Carolina-based Wicked Weed Brewing. The Asheville brewery will serve more than 50 varieties of its hoppy and sour beers. The night will also feature Wicked Weed swag and will include a raffle to benefit local nonprofit the Giving Kitchen, with prizes including Taco Mac gift cards and Wicked Weed wall hangings and other gift items.

Enjoy a holiday concert by the Joe Grandsen Quintet and a four-course dinner with wine pairings at Haven, with options including crispy pork belly with butternut squash and maple syrup and seared scallops with cauliflower, crispy Brussels sprouts and apple.

Put the kids to work at Brezza Cucina’s kids pizza-making class. Held the second Monday of every month, the class teaches kids how to stretch pizza dough before they top the pies as they bake in the restaurant’s wood-fired oven. Tickets also include a glass of complimentary wine for the accompanying parent.

Celebrate the holidays with your choice of two Feasts of the Seven Fishes, an Italian tradition that celebrates the vigil for the birth of Jesus.

The White Bull in Decatur will offer a special seven-course menu from Dec. 17-23 with seafood dishes including stuffed squid with black rice, tonnato and crispy sprouts; Florida oysters with yuzu zabaglione and caviar; and crispy baccala, marinated peppers, hot oil and polenta. The restaurant will donate 25 percent of proceeds to the Giving Kitchen.

Il Giallo in Sandy Springs will host its annual Christmas Eve Feast of the Seven Fishes Menu. Guests can order a three-course menu for $45 per person or any of the three dishes a la carte. Choices include Ravioli d’Aragosta e Granzeola, a lobster, scallop and mascarpone ravioli served with a creamy lobster broth, and Rombo Ripieno, New England flounder stuffed with crab, artichokes, capers, lemon and roasted tomatoes. The restaurant’s regular dinner menu will also be available.
