What's better than enjoying a delicious meal? How about knowing that you're helping a good cause while you're chowing down?

There'll be three opportunities over the next few days to do just that:

Dining With Gratitude

More than 50 local restaurants -- including Oak Steakhouse, Twin Smokers BBQ, American Cut, Farm Burger and Muss and Turner's -- will participate in the first Dining With Gratitude event. Ten percent of sales made from Aug. 20-23 at any participating restaurant (see a full list here) will  go to benefit The Giving Kitchen, which serves Atlanta restaurant workers facing unexpected financial hardship (and is also the nonprofit arm of acclaimed Old Fourth Ward restaurant Staplehouse ).  Several other future events, including an Atlanta Braves Restaurant Industry Appreciation Game, will raise funds for The Giving Kitchen -- get more information here.

Foxeria del Sol

For the fourth year, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Taqueria del Sol are teaming up for Foxeria del Sol Hatch Chile Festival. From 4-8 p.m. on Aug. 20 at Taqueria del Sol at 1200 Howell Mill Road N.W. in Atlanta, attendees will sample dishes including a whole hog po'boy with hatch slaw and hatch vinegar hot sauce; smoke brisket tamale with hatch tomatillo salsa; and hatch chile hot chicken on white bread with Doux South sweet pickles. The festival, originally started as a celebration of the annual shipment of chiles from Hatch, N.M., also serves as a fundraising event for Hogs for the Cause -- 100 percent of sales from tickets, T-shirts and bar sales will go to benefit the pediatric brain cancer outreach organization.  The event has raised $170,000 for Atlanta families and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Tickets, which are $35 and include festival entry and unlimited access to food stations, can be purchased here.

Dine Out for No Kid Hungry School Bus

Beginning in New York, the Dine Out for No Kid Hungry school bus tour will stop in Atlanta from 3-6 p.m. Aug. 26 at Ted's Montana Grill at 1874 Peachtree Road in Atlanta. The Sliders and Sweetwater event will feature grilled sliders from Ted's and beer from Sweetwater, along with live music and games, raffles and auction items. Ted's CEO George McKerrow will highlight how diners who eat at participating restaurants, including Marlow's Tavern, Jim N Nick's BBQ and Ted's (see a full list here) in September can benefit No Kid Hungry. For every $1 customers donate, they'll be eligible for dining rewards and can connect a hungry child to 10 meals through No Kid Hungry's programs.
