DISH OF THE WEEK: Jai-Drizzle at CheeseCaked

Nearly three years ago, baker Shawn Brown opened cheesecake concept CheeseCaked in the mall at Peachtree Center. Last fall, she expanded with a location in Lindbergh Center. The sweets shop, charmingly decorated in pink pinstripes, is stocked with more than 20 flavors, which makes it hard to choose just one. But if we must, we're pointing to the Jai-Drizzle behind the glass counter case.

This cookies-and-cream dream features an Oreo cookie crust, a layer of soft cheesecake studded with crushed Oreos, a mound of whipped cream and a sprinkle of yet more of our favorite chocolate cookie. Named after Brown’s teenage daughter Jailyn, it’s a treat that will bring a smile to kids of all ages.

Depending on the sweet tooth disposition you're buying for, get the cupcake-shaped Personal Size ($4.75), the petite Party Size ($3) (“It’s half the size, half the calories,” says Brown to the calorie-conscious), or go all in and place a special order for a full size-Jai, available as a 6-, 9- or 10-inch cheesecake ($35-55).

CheeseCaked, 720 Morosgo Drive NE, Atlanta, 404-262-3333 and 231 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, 770-927-7485, cheesecaked.com.
