If your deviled eggs are all the rage at office potlucks and your cakes win accolades at baby showers, you might just have what it takes to be a MasterChef.

The FOX reality cooking competition is coming to Atlanta to cast for its 10th season, with Gordon Ramsay’s culinary team looking for top home chefs.

Applicants must pre-register online at masterchefcasting.com and bring one prepared dish to serve. You will be given three minutes to plate the dish at the casting call, but there will not be a kitchen to cook or warm up your dish.

Those selected for the show will film in Los Angeles and have a shot at the grand prize and title of MasterChef.

Atlantans have fared well in the "MasterChef" franchise -- Farhan Momin, whose family owns Tava Indian Bistro in Decatur, is in the top eight in the current ninth season, and Jasmine Stewart of Milton won the fifth season of MasterChef Junior, with Justise Mayberry of Sugar Hill making it to the top four that season. Quani Pointer of Buford made it to the top three of the sixth season of MasterChef Junior.

10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 15. Art Institute of Atlanta, 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta. masterchefcasting.com

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
