Ready for something a little different?

North Carolina-based The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar, set to open its first Atlanta location in Perimeter Mall in April, will offer up "burgushi" --  a fusion of burger and sushi including sushi rolls created using burger components and pick-up style sandwiches created using sushi.

The menu will also feature traditional and fusion sushi rolls, craft burgers, sashimi, nigiri, bento boxes, appetizers, salads, handcrafted cocktails, craft beers, hand spun milkshakes and homemade desserts.

"Atlanta is the next logical step for us. It is a great city, not too far from our home state, with a progressive restaurant scene.  It’s very similar to Charlotte with a lot more people." founder Alan Springate said in a statement.

The Cowfish anticipates hiring 125 team members and will occupy an 8,000-square-foot space at Perimeter Mall. Cowfish has locations in Charlotte, Raleigh and Orlando.
