Today may be one of the yummiest foodie holidays ever: National Milkshake Day. While the decadent drink may conjure up many happy memories from yesteryear, today’s versions are pretty fancy. From adult milkshakes—the kind with alcohol—to espresso-infused, each will be a treat to your palate. Drink up!
Peach & the Porkchop : For adults only. This Roswell restaurant offers alcohol-infused milkshakes made with almost a pint of ice cream. They have several varieties of this dessert-drink including the JD Shake, make with Jack Daniels and honey ice cream; the Salty Pig, a mix of salted caramel ice cream and Bakon-infused vodka; and the chocolate lovers dream aptly named Choc-zilla, a blend of Godiva chocolate liqueur and Van Gogh vanilla vodka over good ole fashioned chocolate ice cream.
Grindhouse Killer Burgers: With two locations in Atlanta, it's easy to get your milkshake fix today or any other day. Choose from classic flavors including vanilla, chocolate and strawberry or new ones like Oreo, peach and chocolate peanut butter. If you something a little boozy, they make milkshakes like that too. There's the Monkey Wrench, a blend of banana liqueur, peanut butter, malt, Hershey's syrup and chocolate vodka; the Booty Shake—don't ask, just drink—and several other spirited mixes.

BOCADO Burger: A milkshake with alcohol here equals a cocktail shake. Guest can choose from the Fernet Branca, served with whipped cream, mint and cherry; the Cacao, made with tempus fugit cacao, whipped cream and salt; or the Ristretto, make with galliano ristretto, whipped cream and cinnamon. Threre's also a variety of hand-spun milkshakes with traditional flavors like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry or fun flavors like the Black Cow, made with Mexican coke and soft-serve ice cream.
Queen of Cream: This artisan ice cream shop offers a coffee milkshake called The Sterling, made with your choice of ice cream with espresso, cold brew and milk. Not your cup of tea? They also make milkshakes with any of their ice cream flavors, topped with whipped cream and an Amarena cherry. Guests can also add a shot of espresso to milkshakes for a creamier, coffee experience.
