A bakery, cafe and marketplace is slated to open in Atlanta next year as part of the forthcoming The Irby development.

SRS Real Estate Partners has secured a lease with Le Bon Nosh, from founder and executive chef Forough Vakili. The concept, located at 65 Irby Ave., will “celebrate simple and local ingredient driven dishes served in an open and welcoming environment,” according to a press release. The curated market and cafe will place an emphasis on food education, with most offerings coming from local farmers and makers.

Breakfast at the restaurant’s counter will feature breads and pastries, with a seasonal menu later in the day.

A Georgia Tech chemical engineering graduate, Vakili spent a short while in the corporate space before attending Cordon Bleu Paris. Post-graduation, she worked at a two star Michelin restaurant in France before returning to Atlanta as a culinary consultant for Porsche Cars North America and Bon Appetìt Management Company.

Le Bon Nosh’s 4,333 square-foot restaurant will include a patio for outdoor dining, with interiors designed by design firm Commune. Scheduled to open in summer 2020. The Irby will be a 12-story building with 277 apartment units.
