Best food events in metro Atlanta: free chai, farm-to-table feast, more

Free chai. Farm-to-table feast. Dinner served by all-star chefs. There are lots of fun filled food events happening in metro Atlanta today through Friday. Add one or all four of the following events to your calendar, and be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Now thru Nov. 8: Vote, bring in your "I voted" sticker and claim your free chai at Chai Pani Decatur now until the close of election day on Nov. 8. That's it. But, if you're so inclined, check out this short, offbeat video that may make you chuckle.

Wednesday, Nov. 2: Cape Dutch will be celebrating its first anniversary with glasses of champagne and passed canapes from chef Philippe Haddad from 7-8:30 p.m. To keep the party rolling, the restaurant will offer a future complimentary bottle of champagne to all guests who book a holiday party or private event during the celebration.

Thursday, Nov. 3: For a Japanese-style cocktail dinner with drinks prepared from some of the best behind bar including Julian Goglia (Mercury, The Pinewood), Miles Macquarrie (Kimball House) and Kellie Thorn (Empire State South), head to Brush Izakaya at 6 p.m. Tickets, which are $125, can be purchased here.

Friday, Nov. 4: Guests will eat, drink, learn more about White Oak Pastures' regenerative farming methods and view four short films during Eat It, Wear It, Regenerate It: Igniting a Consumer Revolution. The event, held from 6-8 p.m. at The Shed at Ponce City Market, will feature food stations by chefs including Kevin Gillespie and Andreas Müller (Gunshow and Revival), Tal Baum (Bellina Alimentari) and Reid Harrison (White Oak Pastures). Beer will be provided by Second Self Beer Company and wine will also be available. Tickets, which are $35, can be purchased here.
