It's Monday, which means you made it through another Valentine's Day.
Now that you're done handing out (or receiving) roses like a bachelor or bachelorette, it’s time to get back to business. Sure, there’s lots to do, but there’s even more fun to have this week. There’s two days of barbecue, after work dining deals aptly called Punch Out and more. Remember, these events will keep your mood festive and your stomach full. Hooray for Monday.
Cook Hall: Sometimes, you just want to run out of work when the clock strikes 5 p.m. Here's incentive: Punch Out, a boozy punch and small plate special that runs from 5-7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Just-right-bites include popcorn shrimp, crispy shishito peppers and more. Arrive early; bar seating only. Phone: 404-523-3600.
Moe's and Joe's: If you missed last week's inaugural pop-up with good old-fashioned barbecue, you're in luck. It's back. At 6 p.m. every Wednesday and Thursday, guests can get their fill of barbecue pulled pork, chicken, red slaw and more at Moe's and Joe's, which will host Piedmont BBQ Co. Phone: 404-873-6090.
Tin Lizzy's Cantina: When you make a donation to the Little Give campaign through Feb. 29, two things will happen. First, Tin Lizzy's will match your donation dollar-for dollar. Second, when you donate online, the company will email you a $5 coupon. Donations will be given to Bert's Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization that provides all-expenses-paid trips to Walt Disney World for children with chronic and terminal illnesses.
P.F. Chang's: Make this the year of doing good. Each time guests order items from the special Chinese New Year menu (yes, it's still available), which includes butternut squash dumplings; long life noodles and prawns; a monkey mule made with Monkey Shoulder whisky and house-made ginger beer; and more the restaurant will donate $1 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America throughout February.
