American Craft Beer Week 2016 (ACBW) runs May 16-22, with small and independent craft breweries and beer bars and restaurants once again holding celebrations and hosting events in all 50 states.

Around metro Atlanta, local bars and breweries are joining in, starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday at the Brick Store Pub in Decatur with the Biennial Pancake Breakfast & Yard Sale, featuring 20-plus breakfast stouts, a special breakfast menu, and a sale of beer-related memorabilia, including glassware and t-shirts. "No tickets needed, just come join the fun."

Monday Night Brewing is participating the ACBW Biggest Small Beer Ever celebration, aimed at showcasing the solidarity among the craft brewing community, with brewers in all 50 states using the same ingredients and recipe to make a special beer (rumored to be a porter). It will be served in the tasting room at Monday Night during tasting all week, as well as in taprooms across the country.

Red Brick, Sweetwater and other breweries are offering special tappings throughout the week. Many bars and pubs, including the Wing Cafe in Marietta, Midway Pub in East Atlanta and the Porter Beer Bar in Little Five Points, have special tastings through May 22. And at noon on May 21, the East Atlanta Craft Beer Festival returns to Brownwood Park.
