If you're a social media maven with an interest in art, a recently updated app will give you the opportunity to marry the two passions.
ArtClix 2.0, developed by Second Story, part of SapientNitro, launched April 26 and allows users to engage with works of art when they visit the High Museum of Art. The app already employs image recognition technology to give users more information about photos they take of pieces of art lining the museum's walls. Users can also share and discuss the photos in ArtClix forums.
The update provides more opportunities for interacting and engaging with famous works of art, including providing video as part of the image recognition process and Hi-mojis, special emojis that allow visitors to share their reactions to pieces.
The app is available for free in the Apple store for iPhones.
