Atlanta’s Peach Drop is back! The iconic New Year’s Eve tradition of Atlanta has returned after a 4-year hiatus, and we couldn’t be more excited.

The Peach Drop Festival takes place at Underground Atlanta on Saturday, Dec. 31, with the stage opening at 6 p.m. and the historic peach dropping at midnight.

“The Peach Drop is back and better than ever,” Atlanta Mayor and event host Andre Dickens said in a press release. “This festival has been a tradition for generations, and it is my pleasure to be able to host a world-class event with these amazing partners so residents and visitors alike can make new memories ringing in the new year together in Atlanta.”

The event will feature some of Atlanta’s most celebrated performers, including Jermaine Dupri & Friends, Jagged Edge, YoungBloodZ, Blanco Brown, rock group Drivin n Cryin, and Chicago’s Da Brat. In addition, Atlanta radio personality and two-time Emmy award winner Ryan Cameron will emcee and Live Nation will produce this year’s festivities.

“What can get any more ATL than this? We can’t wait to see everyone at the Underground. JD is a LEGEND and we’ve got some real surprises,” Cameron said in the release.

Traditionally, the Peach Drop attracts tens of thousands of attendees. And the best part of the special celebration? There’s no cost for the event.

Lalani Ventures, the company restoring Underground Atlanta as a historic entertainment venue, said it is proud to partner with the City of Atlanta to host the Peach Drop on its property.

“We’re proud to work alongside our partners at the City to welcome Atlanta’s most beloved tradition, the Peach Drop, back to the property, and we look forward to hosting this monumental event for years to come,” CEO of Lalani Ventures Shaneel Lalani stated in the release.

It’s been an incredible time here at Acess Atlanta since we launched in May, and we can’t wait to ring in 2023 at the Peach Drop.
