Summer Walker brings on Teyana Taylor as creative director for ‘The Clear Series’

Summer Walker is bringing out the big guns when it comes to her upcoming performance at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on June 1.
Walker has taken a lot of heat on social media in the past few years for her performance style. Fans have complained about the singer not putting as much energy into her performance as they feel she should.
It seems Walker has heard all the online chatter because she’s hired fellow singer-turned-performance coach and creative director Teyana Taylor.
“I’ve been working so hard with @teyanataylor to get ready for the one-night-only June 1 show in Atlanta. I’m so excited,” Walker wrote in an Instagram post.
Walker will take the stage at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre with a live orchestra. Fans will watch as she performs her new EP, “CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE,” for the first time. Walker will also perform a few fan favorites as well as other hits from her catalog.
Taylor expressed her excitement on social media for the opportunity to work with Walker as well.
“It’s time to PULL UP @summerwalker … I’m soooooo proud & excited for you … Thank you for trusting & knowing that you are in good hands with @theauntiesinc … This will be a night to remember love…” Taylor wrote.
Taylor seems to be building up her repertoire with creative directing and performance coaching, as just last month it was also revealed she was hired for the same services by rapper and Atlanta native Latto.
The Harlem-born rapper isn’t just showing off her creativity and skills when it comes to others; she also showed off her acting chops recently as she starred in “A Thousand and One” and “White Men Can’t Jump.”
Tickets for Walker’s show will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 26 at 10 a.m.
