Sam Smith announces dates for ‘GLORIA The Tour,’ Duluth stop included
Multiplatinum singing sensation Sam Smith will once again mesmerize us all with their voice when they make their way to Gas South Arena in Duluth on July 28.
This is Smith’s first North American run since 2018, so fans are very excited to see them take the stage, along with special guest Jessie Reyez. The 27-city tour will kick off in Miami and make stops in cities including Nashville, Washington, New York, Austin and our very own backyard, Duluth. “This is going to be so special, it’s been too long sailors!!” Smith wrote while announcing the tour on their social media accounts. “Can’t wait to see all your gorgeous faces and celebrate the era of GLORIA together.”
The tour is titled after Smith’s upcoming album, “GLORIA,” set to release on Jan. 27. The fourth studio album coming from the Golden Globe and Oscar-winning artist/songwriter is off to a great start, as it includes the Grammy-nominated single “Unholy” featuring Kim Petras. A Grammy nomination isn’t the only accolade the song has received. According to a press release, it spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and four weeks at the top of the UK Official Singles Chart. “Unholy” took the No. 1 position on the Mediabase Top 40 Airplay chart, spent 29 consecutive days at No. 1 on the Global Spotify chart and topped the Apple and Shazam worldwide tallies. Not to mention, “Unholy” was the only pop collaboration of 2022 to be certified RIAA Platinum and the third collaboration across all genres to reach this milestone. The song has also gained more than one billion combined global streams. I know one thing for certain, if “Unholy” is any indication of how the album will do, Smith will be racking up tons of awards!

Well, American Express card members can snag their tickets before the general public, from Monday, Jan. 9 at 9 a.m. to Thursday, Jan. 12, at 10 p.m. There will be an exclusive 24-hour ticket pre-sale for fans with the pre-sale password on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 9 a.m. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Jan. 13 at 9:00 a.m.
