Shop local: Makers Market ATL returns to East Point Exchange
If you love shopping small and supporting Atlanta’s local creators, then you are in for a treat!
Makers Market ATL has partnered with East Point Exchange to host a free, family-friendly monthly artist and makers market through 2022. The market invites the community to support local artists, crafters and creators as they showcase their products on Saturday, June 11 from 1-6 p.m. at East Point Exchange, located at Ware Ave. & RN Martin St., adjacent to downtown East Point. East Point Exchange is committed to providing a space for the arts community to thrive, and this is one way to accomplish that goal.
Last month’s market included handmade children’s clothing, art, gourmet teas, jewelry and more. Take a look back at May’s local vendors for a sneak peek of what you can expect Saturday!
Saturday’s market will feature a variety of vendors including vintage, home decor, handmade soaps, wall art and much more. Here are just a handful of must-see vendors:
SATURN SAYS ART
If your space is in need of a fresh look, Saturn Says Art has you covered. From painting murals to wall art and even furniture, there isn’t a place they can’t transform. They also embroider and patch denim jeans, shorts and jackets.
Quote the Culture
You don’t have to look any further for the journal of your dreams, because the stationary at Quote the Culture is everything you didn’t know you needed. The brand is culturally conscious inspiring you to “Quote the Culture.”
Wicked Hollow Way
Do you need to step up your candle game? Wicked Hollow Way sells ‘witchy’ themed candles in both free-form molds and upcycled vintage glassware. If you have yet to own a transformation or color-changing candle, you’ll want to take home one of these unique designs before they sell out.
Alchemy Body Werks
This one’s for the health and beauty enthusiasts. Alchmey Body Werks is a handcrafted, plant-based and eco-friendly brand offering soaps, shampoos, candles, body oils and more. They do not use harsh skin chemicals and are dedicated to promoting skin and environmental health.
Ralo
The event will also showcase live entertainment from Ralo, an East Point resident and well-known local DJ. Ralo will not only be curating the lineups throughout the year, but will be selling vintage records from his personal collection.
Makers Market ATL is happening monthly and will close out the year with a holiday market in December.
