Savannah Sasser has been tapped as the new executive chef at Hampton + Hudson. Sasser will replace Jason Hall, who has departed from the Inman Quarter restaurant for a culinary position with Kimpton Hotels in Los Angeles.

New came earlier today that Sasser would be leaving her position as executive chef at Twain's Brewpub & Billiard in Decatur. However, no word was available at that time about Sasser's next move.

Hampton + Hudson owner Billy Streck praised Hall for his contributions to the neighborhood gastropub, which opened last May. He stated that Hall “laid the groundwork” for Sasser to “work her magic.”

As Sasser readies to take over the Hampton + Hudson kitchen in March, Hall has already begun working out West. He is currently helping to re-concept the Hotel Palomar's dining venue Blvd 16 to Double Take. In addition, he will be assist with the launch this spring of Jane Q at the Everly Hotel in Hollywood.

According to Hall, the abrupt move was prompted by family reasons. In his new position, Hall will be working under the direction of Bryan Podgorski, a former chef de cuisine at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon.
