Live Life to the Fullest!
Family, a few weeks ago, a dear friend of mine called to tell me his wife of less than 2 years had passed away from cancer. I was pretty shaken up, because they had dated for more than 10 years and finally gotten married and then -BAM! We had talked about taking a couples vacation together to a nice tropical beach and leaving all of our cares behind us just last year!
My heart broke for my friend because he had found the woman he would hold hands in the rocker on the porch until death do them part. He deserved to be loved unconditionally and for a lifetime like we all do. Her two girls, mother, father, family and friends sat in shock as the celebration went forth with various people talking about how she impacted their lives so positively. I sat there thinking, “I wonder what people would say about me if I made my transition today”. Shaking my head thinking “Have I done enough in this life?”
What I do know is that we think we have all the time in the world to get things right. How could Prince not have his affairs in order? I’m sure he didn’t think he would make his transition in an elevator alone. He thought he had more time!
Family, it’s time to get your house in order! We don’t know the day or hour of our transition and we certainly don’t have to be a certain age these days to make it. We have always seen the death of our elders first as the natural order of things, but it’s just not so today when you have to look in the eyes of parents burying their children for whatever reason, it’s simply heartbreaking!
