A reader, Bill, writes in: “I am new to the iPhone 6 and have tried to use my Maps program 3-4 times over the past month. Once it got me to my destination, but three times it didn’t… How does one notify Apple of the problem so they can fix it so others won’t be similarly inconvenienced and frustrated?”

Apple's "Maps" app was the subject of ridicule when it debuted in 2012. Despite lots of effort and investment from Apple, it's still not a perfect product. If you get bad directions, labels or locations in the Maps app, Apple says you can report a problem by tapping the letter "i" with a circle around it on the lower-right corner of the screen. Select "report an issue" and follow the instructions. You can check on your issue later by going into the Settings app, selecting Maps and choosing "follow up by email."

For better location results, Apple suggests making sure you have the correct date, time and time zone in your phone settings and keeping your cellular data, Wi-Fi and location services (under settings/privacy) on.

Or, you could try the “Google Maps” app
