The first-ever overtime College Football Playoff National Championship game between Georgia and Alabama recorded a 16.7 overnight on its Nielsen-rated networks of ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU.

Birmingham, Ala. scored the top local overnight rating of 57.6 during Monday night’s game while Atlanta was the city with the second highest local overnight rating of 47.8.
