Chester White had been wanting a new television. Now he’s going to get one because of five random numbers.

The 66-year-old communications engineer was having a regular day Jan. 18 when he realized he’d won half of a $901,628 lottery jackpot.

“I didn’t think it was real,” he told the Georgia lottery agency. “I triple-checked my ticket.”

White claimed his $450,814 half of the prize Friday.

The Marietta man bought his ticket at a Marathon, 855 Whitlock Ave., the agency said.

The other ticket was purchased at a Chevron in Marietta, 1023 Sandy Plains Road. That winner came forward Tuesday. No other details were given, and lottery officials weren’t immediately available.

The winning Fantasy 5 numbers were 21-26-29-30-33.

Cobb County has been on a hot streak recently when it comes to winners.

Gregory Whitaker of Powder Springs won a new Kia Soul during the Atlanta Hawks game Monday thanks to the lottery's Cash4Life second-chance drawing.

Then were was a recently-formed LLC which claimed a prize of $83 million Thursday after two months of waiting. The ticket was sold at a Marietta gas station.

And then there was the 64-year-old woman from Dallas who claimed her $7.5 million lottery prize in October three months after learning she'd won because she wanted time to plan.
