Georgia Tech offensive tackles are asked to play in space, which requires considerable agility for players their size. Tech believes it has a player that can do that in signee Harrison Jump from Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart.

Offensive line coach Mike Sewak, who was Jump’s primary recruiter, said that Jump impressed him with his speed, ability to bend at the knees, his explosiveness and his change of direction.

“We’re always going to look for a guy that can bend his knees, redirect at the point of attack and then go ahead and bring it with some power,” Sewak said on the team’s online broadcast.

Jump, 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, is from Statham, a three-star prospect (247 Sports composite) and has played both offensive tackle and defensive end. Jump committed to Tech after an impressive performance at the team’s camp in June.
