There are countless restaurants across the country with delicious breakfast options, but one of the best is right here in Atlanta, according to a new report.

Thrillist, a lifestyle publication, recently canvassed the country to determine the "Best Breakfast Spots in America." To do so, its editors explored hundreds of restaurants throughout the 50 states.

"At the end of it all, these 22 spots offered up our favorite breakfasts in the nation (and no, we're not talking about places that exclusively worship at the altar of weekend brunch; these places do breakfast all the time)," the publication wrote.

West Egg Cafe, located in the Westside Provisions District, made the cut. The eatery was praised for its build-your-own biscuit option as well as its diverse menu selection.

The publication was particularly impressed by the diner’s “spin on classics,” it wrote.

It highlighted the shrimp and grits entree, which includes fancy butter and roasted okra, and the Georgia benedict meal, which features turkey sausage and gravy served onto split biscuits with eggs.

“It's southern comfort that takes things slightly out of the comfort zone,” the team said.

This isn’t the first time the restaurant has been recognized. It’s been previously honored by Atlanta Magazine and Creative Loafing.
