Two men accused of stealing from a Carroll County, Georgia, Walmart may now have brighter smiles. But they likely won’t be smiling once they are caught.
The pair is accused of swiping $600 worth of teeth-whitening strips, according to investigator Joe Gramling with Carrollton police. In surveillance video from inside the store, the two appeared to be working together on a health and beauty aisle before leaving in opposite directions, Gramling said.
Both men later left the store with several boxes of the strips, which promise noticeably whiter teeth in a matter of days.
Carrollton police posted the video on the department's Facebook page, and by Monday evening, it had been seen more than 3,000 times.
Gramling said the whitening strips likely will be resold for pennies on the dollar, possibly at flea markets.
