6-year-old hospitalized for amoeba infection

A 6-year-old boy is fighting to live from an amoeba that infected his brain.

Leland Shoemake's parents have a Facebook page dedicated to his health, WSBTV reported.

They say he is in critical condition at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

His parents said Monday the infection has swelled his brain and they are praying he survives.
