Pick one. Either you want your 15 minutes of fame or you want to rob banks.

Lawrenceville police are reminding aspiring criminals they can't have both after a televised media interview led police directly to a suspected bank robber.

Eric Rivers, 24, now faces two counts of robbery, according to Gwinnett County jail records.

Learn from this, police said.

“If you are going to be a bank robber ... actually let us stop right there,” police officials said in a Facebook post. “Our first piece of advice would be for you NOT to be a bank robber.”

But if the urge is too strong, at the very least don’t stop and agree to an interview with a news crew.

"The news anchor might be pretty, but fight the urge and keep walking," officials said in the post. "You see, when you accept an interview and provide them with your real name, it actually makes our job too easy."
