Cumberland Mall will be the site of a delicious experiment on Saturday.

Great American Cookies on the mall’s first level (near the Sears) is testing out three flavors of its unreleased cookie dough from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

“The new product is being tested in Atlanta and if customers love it (which they will), it will roll out nationally,” the company said, negating any scientific merit of this test.

Spokeswoman Kathleen Shaffer said the Cumberland location is the only one it’ll be giving the dough a test run.

The flavor options are chocolate chip, fudge brownie and birthday cake. It’s one scoop per customer.

Edible cookie dough spots are a recent trend in food; there's one in Atlanta's Ponce City Market if you get a craving.
