More than 100 wines are coming to Milton on Friday, and local vino lovers are invited to taste them.

Children’s Charities — founded by local businesswomen Amanda White and Lauren Holmes — and Pinnacle Beverage Group will host the Milton Wine Festival at the city hall courtyard.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $50. VIP tickets, which grant guests access to the event at 5 p.m. and the opportunity to taste 25 high-end wines, are $75. The festival ends at 8 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds of the event will benefit Children's Charities, which is aiming to build an all-inclusive play park in Milton in 2018. The charity hopes to use funds from the wine festival to purchase equipment and playground structures for children with special needs in north Fulton County.

Ticket holders will receive a commemorative wine glass and shirt. Tickets can be purchased on FreshTix.

Wines — including sparkling, white, red and rosé — from around the world will be featured. Some wines will be available for retail sale at the event.

For more information on the event, visit its website and Facebook page.
