You don’t have to go far for farm-fresh foods, Suwanee. Your annual farmers market is opening on Saturday, May 13.

The Suwanee Farmers Market will open this weekend and operate every Saturday through Sept. 30 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Shoppers shouldn’t just expect fresh produce. In addition to the bountiful crops from Georgia farmers, the market will have honey, eggs, meat, seafood and salsa, according to Suwanee Events Manager Amy Doherty.

“The Suwanee Farmers Market has a loyal customer and farmer base,” said Doherty in a release. "Our market is almost as much a social event as it is an opportunity to access locally grown produce and a variety of other items.”

Shoppers can find the market at Suwanee’s Town Center Park.
