Plan to need a drink on May 6.
That's when the Kennesaw Downtown Development Authority is holding its fourth beer and wine festival.
Folks can sample more than 100 different beers and 50 wines from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Depot Park. There will also be a selection of ciders there.
Only adults 21 and older are allowed in, so no children or pets can come to the rain-or-shine event, according to the festival's website.
It seems the organizer want people to buy tickets ahead of time, as advance tickets are $35, tickets purchased after Thursday are $40 and day-of tickets are $50.
And if you don’t want to drink, that’s cool. You can buy a designated driver ticket at the door, but know that any DD not living up to the title will be escorted out.
Beer will stop being served at 4:45 p.m.
There’s no parking at the venue, organizers warn, so plan to catch a ride or walk.
And if you somehow work up an appetite at a booze festival, there will be food for purchase from World of Beer, The Nest Kennesaw and Tom+Chee.
The list of the beers, wines and ciders up for grabs will be posted the week of the event, organizers say.
Until then, here's the list of participating breweries and cideries the event has posted to its website so far.
